The Skill Migrants Alliance presents an adaptive yet unwavering strategy moving forward. The approach addresses two possible outcomes:
Scenario A โ Status Quo: If regulations remain unchanged, the organisation considers this a victory and will continue advocating for "clarity and stability to prevent future threats."
Scenario B โ Retrospective Policy Changes: Should the government announce retroactive modifications, SMA would immediately activate legal defences:
1. Pre-Action Protocol (PAP): A formal demand letter requiring the government to reverse decisions or face judicial proceedings
2. Judicial Review: If authorities disregard the PAP, the alliance would file for High Court Judicial Review, seeking injunctions to prevent rules from taking effect
The statement emphasises organisational readiness: "Rest assured, we have the funds, the team, and the resolve to fight this all the way."
